Pleasant little romance with a questionable girl, but Barbara Stanwyck's Ladies of Leisure (1930) is a much more moving choice. Virginia Bruce doesn't quite make the part believable. In fact I ended up rooting for the other girl who was much more down to earth. Melvyn Douglas was good as the gentleman artists while Reginald Denny was only so-so as the drunken pal.
