Doesn't offer much, if anything, to keep us interested.

This flick could hardly have been more aptly named. So awful it's almost fascinating... almost. Cliche-ridden (you just KNOW a gun is going to turn up when he starts rummaging around the car) and deeply annoying - WAY too many hallucinations and flashbacks, although without them, I suppose there would have been no story at all. Except, you know, splinting his own broken leg and dragging himself around the mountainside. Yeah... right.

Having read the "Guy wakes up in a wrecked car" synopsis I obviously hoped for a feeling of "mystery". This film totally lacks that feeling. The sequences designed to invoke the feeling of mystery fail so completely that the film cannot even be recommended for passing time. Because, without any mystery, what you're left with is a sequence of slow and boring scenes. Coming from a man who enjoys slowness in cinema to the point of almost preferring it, this should be considered a sincere warning.

Anti-climactic and slow as can be, but for some reason I enjoyed it. Beautiful scenery and the lack of dialogue really let you sink into the mess of it all, Brody did well.

Adrien Brody put his best into this part. He was good. The shooting was okay, but the story went too far. The slow pace was okay, but it would succeed better with less running time. The story did not carry the entire film. There was several unnecessary scenes and the conclusion was the biggest disappointment.

It's like Buried with better acting, more beautiful cinematography (for obvious reasons), less tension, slower pacing and a worse ending.

Funny, I expected this to be bad and it was good, and then I expected people's reactions to be positive and they were negative. I guess in retrospect not a whole lot happens, and the ending is a bit of an anti-climax, but I found myself hooked throughout, simply wondering what was going to happen next, and considering I was bracing for the moment when he woke up back in the car wreck, I ended up finding the ending kind of refreshing in its neatness and simplicity.

It's like "Buried," only less purist, with Brody, and hardly as watchable.

Very good Brody's parts, nice shooting but there was not tension at all. And the ending... so common.

Veery slow and boring. This is all about Brody who spends a LOT of time in a car and during that time all he does is either scream, swear or stare into the distance. Once he gets out, things get slightly more interesting, but only slightly. There is very little dialogue and I can't remember hearing much music. There really isn't much of a payoff for all the dullness either, the ending isn't very good. Brody's acting is of course great, but that doesn't save the movie.

Wrecked does well at the beginning and end, but drags throughout the middle. Nice twists as well.

While watching Wrecked you often wonder whether it was being written on the fly after the producers figured out that, like its protagonist, the '127 Hours in a car' premise had limited legs. "He's a bankrobber! Being followed by a mountain lion! We'll give him a random dog sidekick! And plenty of hallucinations! Send him down a river! Then have him go in a circle! Umm..." We're not even given a reason to root for the guy until the end, and even then the sympathy gained is limited. Rubbish.

Bored to death. It could be better as a short film but for a two hours movie..... is slow and boring

I actually guessed the ending so I don't know if it was predictable or if I just made a good guess. Kind of boring really.

A 90-odd minute film that should be hacked down to a good 20 minute tv episode. The final reveal about why he was there just made me yawn

Reliably uncompromising and mightily compelling in upholding Brody's deprived perspective, and he single-handedly holds the screen with a wide spectrum of blunt, mostly unarticulated emotion. It's the ultimate in existentialist and minimalist effectiveness in cinema. Where 127 Hours had to adhere to a particular fast-based mainstream architecture, Wrecked can burrow into the present-tense thoughts and experiences of Brody's lead with true experiential insight.
