Very tongue-in-cheek, and there is a constant, rhythmic flow between scenes and pieces of dialogue, and the camera seems to dance around things, and it looks like Has has pretty much found his voice by this point - you see this same cinematic language at the basis of his later, bigger productions such as Hourglass Sanatorium. One Room Tenants was not easy watching for me, but it was easy to appreciate.
