It's Thanksgiving, which is the time of year when cinephiles have awful movies forced upon them by their family. This year it was a western about Wyatt Earp that I've never even heard of before. Val Kilmer was in it. He was wearing the most giant fake mustache I've ever seen.

I made it through, I think, about twenty minutes. So jaw-droppingly horrid that calling it sub-par would be a compliment--I've seen small-town O.K. Corral reenactments that have been more entertaining, and had stronger production values. A charisma-free cast, imagination-free direction...the affronts go on and on. Kilmer must be very broke, or very bored, or very insane.

I wanted to like this, but it was shit. Sad to see Val Kilmer looking like a toad that flicks its tongue at red meat, gin, and chewing tobacco, all day. He really deserved an oscar for his performance in Tombstone...this felt like a half-ass ode to that.
