Shows how power pursuit and power strategies can produce no real cosmic warmth, connection or love, but doesn't make real attempt to ask what the alternative can be and slides into cliché resolution, therefore becoming just another consumption of people's resentment, fear, hidden desire for and withdrawal from power. Probably a common problem with a lot of "realistic" films. Could be more interesting if the director went deeper into the youngest daughter's psychology.
