A beautifully done Yakuza crime drama. Miike stays on point and crafts a finely tuned drama that's all about the characters and their setting. Riki Takeuchi proves that he is more than a sneer and a punch perm with a restrain performance that kept my eyes glued to the screen. As much as I love the wild & crazy Miike this is the Miike I like best.
