A long-married couple, somewhere past middle age, live a quiet routine of half-contentment. He sits in a big easy chair reading the paper and puts a song on his record player, using a wind-up blue bus instead of a needle. She refills the hot water in his foot-bath and puts down food for the "dog," a kind of caterpillar-dachshund with a leery human head. He is a swollen, blue-skinned, balding lumpen-man. And she, beneath her apron and polka dot print dress is... a Hen. (Ferenc Marhalin)

Story of a middle aged blue dude who comes to the alarming realisation that his wife is actually a giant hen and their dog is a creepy ass worm with a pervy man-face. When a gay magician in blackface invades their privacy and the house fills up with toothpaste things start to get really weird. I guess the long term effects of continual exposure to relationships can be comparable to those of heavy prolonged LSD dosage. Reminded me of David Lynch animations with its surreal grotesque comedy.

Maybe you like weird and grotesque animation, in that case you may enjoy this. I generally just find it tiresome, even when I can appreciate the occasional moment.

Experimental and surreal. Simple yet weird. This short animated film by Igor Kovalyov might be hard to find, but really worth looking for if you are interested in surrealism.
