Like almost every hike/nature walk I've ever endured. Some effective scenes and atmosphere. The overall narrative, enigmatic qualities included, has become a somewhat familiar one - this film would be more impressive if four or five other films specifically did not exist - but I'm still not sure why some people seem to hate this so much. I didn't exactly see the last two minutes coming, either.

Sure, the concept is cool, in theory. The reality is a lot more painful. I hope you like people walking around in the woods spouting stupid dialogue, 'cause you're gonna get a lot of it! Once characters go crazy and start with the killin' the whole thing becomes a complete, useless mess.

Good intentions, a couple of decent horror scenes that will make you lose it, and the creators hid the low production values well enough, thanks to some strong audio effects and writing work. That doesn't change the fact that the last act is incredibly disappointing, poorly thought out, and beyond cliché for the horror genre. It soured the entire experience for me.
