You Belong to Me

The fast talker slowed down for a tear jerker! The story takes place in vaudeville where Helen Mack and her young son David Holt struggle to make ends meet. Their close friend Lee Tracy tries to help them as much as possible, but there is little he can do. So Mack marries a bastard to start a double-act resulting in a unhappy life for them all. Tracy is toned down a lot, but really bonds well with the kid which creates a very solid and rare melodrama from him.
