You'll Never Get Rich

This was a fun movie until Fred Astaire joins the army. It start to get better but then they brought back the cheating boss and things went downhill again.

no music to take note of, and that's sad considering other astaire movies, but i really was impressed with hayworth's dancing abilities--she's not bad at all. astaire does a couple entertaining tap dancing numbers--unfortunately bad the story here isn't anything to nod at.

I seem to enjoy Fred Astaire more without Ginger Rogers. Perhaps it's because he can skip along in his own unique pace. Ginger was always too elegant for the dancing skeleton. Here he has the adorable Rita Hayworth, and by God, she can keep up with him! The kiddy hop style of fun and play pass trough the screen in pure delight! An when they're not playing we have Robert Benchley playing around. The plot could have used some fine-tuning, but the characters and their fun lights it up!
