Mackenzie continued his good directorial work and won many prizes with Young Adam. And right so. The suspense during the film is real and binding the viewer to the chair. Created atmosphere and actions are harmonized.

Well-made period drama with a great cast. There is some outstanding imagery of the canal-side life, but the non-linear narrative comes together too soon and makes for a conclusion that, like the numerous and somewhat nihilistic sex scenes, is deeply unsatisfactory.

Not a great film, the highlight was the Yoko Ono reference, with the fly on her tit.

Mortimer is a pretty hot chick. And I liked the non-linear storytelling. Well, that's all about this one.
