So I'm something like 15 minutes into the movie, and here's Swayze, Reeves and a bunch of other dudes holding down a buck ass nekkid Rob Lowe and forcibly shaving off his pubes with a straight razor. I am not. making. this shit. up. This movie is about hockey in the same way that "Behind the Green Door" is about interior decorating. This is a good thing.

Wow, that final fight is pretty intense. I love how they use their sticks like gigantic badass claymores. What the fuck was this movie? I want to love it because it's about hockey, but I just can't.

Pretty crap but it was one of the very first movies I ever saw boobs in.

I just wonder what the moral is supposed to be here. Apparently that if you can't fight, you're automatically a shitty player. Even though you score all goals for your team in every match.

Passable hockey movie with sexy Swayze, French-Canadian Keanu, and Emma Watson look-alike.

Perhaps the cheesiest sports movie ever made (yes including even Rocky 4). I loved those animal-like goons - so much like the actual NHL.

This is a cheesy sports movie full of some cliches. There are some exciting scenes but some of the hockey play is laughable. The actors try their best with their roles but they can't overcome a mediocre script. Overall this movie is disappointing.

Terrible movie, but with some bits of awesomeness thrown in: The stick battles, the campy locker room grinning between oiled-up players (including then-NHL-star Steve Thomas in a cameo), the absurd character archetypes, an early Keanu Reeves appearance...

Sometimes it's hard to rate a movie that falls in to the "so bad, it's good" category. In the end, all of it's points are for the laughter.

Contains a lot of unintentional hilarity, and doesn't look remotely realistic to even a casual fan of hockey, but I guess it does capture something real about the junior hockey. Message of the film seems to be that you better learn to beat the crap out of people or they will do it to you. Still, there's something about the film that just oozes 80's that puts a grin on your face; the look, music, and cheesy montages. Lowe & Gibb are ok, Swayze seems to test his Boddhi role here. Reeves' 1st role.
