You're Not You

You're Not You is a topical movie, even if it's coming out a bit too late to cash-in on that topicality. It's a drama about a woman suffering from ALS, and also about the woman caring for her. It's heartfelt and sincere, and will likely accomplish its goal of making you cry at the end -- and a couple of times throughout. It's overplotted, and works best when it just lets its characters interact instead of throwing curveballs at them. And it has good actors who turn in great performances.

Remarkable acting from Hilary Swank and Emmy Rossum. BUT the storylines and the whole story were very predictable since I've seen sooo many like them before, for example in "The Intouchables". I know you can't always invent whole new storylines but come on, you could predict the outcome of every single event in this movie. I'm not saying it was a bad movie because it still is a very good story. But I'm not saying it was something new either.

1294: deep sad movie about ALS. it was bitter and not happy ending at all, but Hillary Swank acts perfectly!
