Zare

Visually one of the better Armenian films I've seen from the 1920s. Usually the experience can be quite challenging, but here it was almost pleasant. The atmosphere is very culturally rooted in the old Armenian life. As for the story, it brings a good mix of the life style and the psychological drama of a girl who gets kidnapped and forced to marry a man she does not love. But her boyfriend and pals tries to locate and save her from these people. That's the basics and it works surprisingly well.
