Zillion

At times such an incessant attack on your senses that some narrative elements can't help but take a backseat to its overwhelming stylization, making the film add up to less than the sum of its parts. Though some parts - an amusing 1st and rather solid final act - work quite well, "The Wolf van het Antwerpse nachtleven" this is not, even though it unashamedly aspires to be.

The bland script fully buys into the self-mythologising of the principal characters, and never fully takes off. It's competently made, but does not find a reason why this story deserves to be told.
