Zombi Holocaust

Just throw Ian McCulloch right back onto the Zombi 2 set and drown us in tits it’ll work I swear.

The reassuringly rubbish script was evident straightaway. I'd have been disappointed if it was less than terrible; one doesn't go into a zombie/cannibal mashup with high expectations. There are a few decent gory scenes, very hungry cannibals, some gratuitous (the best kind of) nudity and a mad scientist who initially reminded me of Jim Carrey in bad make up. It's left to Ian McCulloch to bring some class to proceedings with his inimitable earnest English way. The ending was crap. Dross, but fun.

Pretty much a remake of Zombi but with cannibals added (ie it's better). Donald O'Brien is hilarious as the evil doctor, and this flick features one of the best zombie kills ever: via outboard motor.

Corpses without ribcages??? Guess they didn't know much about anatomy way back in 1980... Slightly more unique than the plethora of jungle-zombie flicks (and happily no animal mutilation this time around), but still really bad.

I saw this as Doctor Butcher, M.D. as the final piece of a four film marathon at a drive-in. The tagline for DB is, "He is a depraved, sadistic rapist; A bloodthirsty homicidal killer... and he makes house calls!" Amazing.

A gory but overall mediocre mashup of Fulci's "Zombi" and "Cannibal Holocaust". Great third act, terrible ending.

Has neither zombies (may depend on your definition) nor a holocaust. So yeah, pretty much false advertising. Some points for showing tits to make amends, though.

The story is pretty substandard and the first part of the movie is kind of boring at least until the expedition takes place. The cannibals and gore effects are pretty cool with some fun kills however the Zombies leave much to be desired as I found them to look like shit. The last 10 minutes are pretty nonsensical. Overall this was a fairly watchable low budget Italian horror film.

By far the best zombie film ever made.

A glorious mashup of gore, cannibals, and zombies.

Immediately ignore the title - there are barely any zombies and its more of a cannibal film. It has its moments in terms of humorous aspects, but unless I develop a fondness for its inept nature, it's not going to trouble some of the better examples of Italian genre cinema from directors like Lucio Fulci etc.

It's more of a cannibal movie than a zombie movie, but it's still ok.

Há 40 anos estreava na Itália, um dia que tínhamos um Girolami e um Fellini dividindo as estreias do dia. O bom desses filmes de canibal e zumbis italianos de fins dos anos 70/início dos 80 é que vejo um deles a cada cinco ou dez anos e nunca me lembro o grau de plágio que existem uns para os outros. Mas fica a dica que esse é tão ridículo que só vai descer com uma macoinha ou um vinho para poder rir nas horas inadequadas. BlurayRip RARBG.

Not good as Zombie films go.

Holocaust is a very good cannibal / zombie splatter event from the late 70's that counts in my opinion to the best horror movies made in that period. Much better than a lot of other flicks that appears in the shadow of great splatter productions in the early 80's.

Moves at a brisk pace. Decent gore. sticks very true to its genre and the influences of (superior) films that have gone before it is thickly apparent throughout.
