This movie is PURE SHIT. Everything and everyone in it is wasted (in more than one sense of the word). I see at least a dozen new movies each month and I really cannot remember seeing something as bad and as cheap as ZOOM released to theaters. This is worse than many straight-to-video kids' movies.

Whether you were compiling it alphabetically or just in terms of overall quality, if you were making a list of superhero films, Zoom deserves to be at the bottom of the list.

There was only one thing that made me laugh in this whole stinker and that was when Tim Allen was running fast and he tripped. That scene was actually funny, otherwise this movie stunk really bad. Courtney Cox and Chevy Chase tried way too hard and they came off as annoying. This has to be Tim Allen's worst performance. He is usually good for a couple of laughs but not this. The overall acting from the entire cast was bad.

Zoom saves the day. Film ends. It wasn't great.

Zoom is a worthless movie, but I'd be remiss to not mention that, regardless of its intentions, I did laugh a good number of times during its first half. Sure, things like story, characters, action, and decent special effects are thrown away to see Tim Allen mope for an hour before a pathetic excuse for a climax happens, but at least I had a little bit of fun laughing at the film's expense. Even with that said, Zoom will bore most of its potential audience.

I didn't find this movie as offensive as most of the people who have scored it, but it was just really plain. I like the super hero team story angle. Tim Allen makes a good father figure for these super kids. The whole script seems like it was made by someone who has read a comic once and realized that these comic book movies are getting pretty popular. I really like Tim Allen and I hope that he chooses some better roles in the future.

I don't get why everybody is so harsh on this movie, it's not good by any means but what do you honestly expect from a kids movie about superheros with a soundtrack by Smash Mouth.
