Pure escapism in the middle of the war. Only relevance this had to the on-going situation was our hero wearing an uniform briefly while on leave and being named alongside Hitler and Goering as a good Nazi. The rest was cute courtship. Man meets girl and falls in love. Tedious and time-tested formula, and done rather well IMO. Not anything remarkable as far as romcoms goes, but charming enough people and a nice time at the beach helped make it a enjoyable one.
