Zygote

This probably calls in between Rakka and Firebase. While Firebase had a great beginning, it tapered off a bit. This has a less inspired beginning, with a bunch of exposition, but that gets cooler and more interesting as it goes on. It's a rather simple short, just trying to escape from one place to another, doesn't end that satisfyingly (like them all) but creature who is stitched together from 96 of its other victims and retains their memories... that shit is horrifying with a great scream.

(spoilers) Awesome little short movie from Neill Blomkamp (district 9, elysium, chappie). This is one of the best creature feature type films I have seen in a long time. That monster is entirely frightening, its concept is amazing, I would love to see this short expanded into a full length. A creature that not only uses corpses as its form but learns from the people it absorbs as well. Love it. can't wait to see more of these shorts from Oats Studios.

Better than most full length Sci Fi horrors.

At the same level as District 9 in terms of Blomkamp's output and definitely the best of the Oats shorts.
