One of my favorite bands of all time, unfortunately the documentary isn't nearly as good. Still nice to see them.

The band deserves a score of 100. The documentary itself, unfortunately, doesn't. Entertaining for all that though. And Kim Deal's hilarious.

Kim Deal is still the coolest chick ever.

I may be too much of a Pixies fanatic to rate this reliably. It's probably fair to warn fans that some of the illusion is inevitably dispelled by seeing backstage footage, even though the Pixies were never a band to invest in a public persona. The slight demystification isn't the problem, but rather that loudQUIETloud is not all a documentary can be. The creative process deserved more attention. It sometimes wallows in triviality, and the editing is a bit lackluster. Still worth watching.

The Pixies are chained to each other. Music is hard. Relationships are hard. Being in close proximity to human beings for years and years and years is hard. "I am a good person. People like me. I am a good person. People like me."

Already loved The Pixies, and the concert footage here is great. High marks because the music still kicks ass, but I'm not sure the band was entirely comfortable being filmed offstage.

Interesting documentary. Saw the Pixies a few weeks ago and it was seriously the best live show I've ever seen.

A decent enough music doc about the Pixies' reunion tour in 2004. Enjoying it will depend on your fanhood (mine is very large; I saw them on their Doolittle reunion tour in '09). It's got some good live performances, glimpses into the group members' lives, and revealing shots of their animosity and frustration toward one another as the tour goes on.
