A lesser known childrens classic film of its time. An impressive vehicle for Tamblyn with brilliant support from Peter Sellers and Terry Thomas. Ahead of its time for special effects and a classic fairy tale approach in the cinematography. Well worth a watch ... although it's now rarely shown in the UK

Not bad. Surprisingly fun, and the visual effects/stop motion are astounding.

Slight musical built round the legend of a two-inch boy; good trickwork and songs make it a delightful film for children.

Great effects for its time and could have done with a lot more of Sellers and Thomas.

Grimm's fairy tale brought to life using real actors, puppets, and animation, all cleverly arranged together. Exemplary family fare.
