Re: How do you rate ridiculously bad movies: 0 or >0 ?

try to spread out your numbers mission almost impossible Oohf, the recs must be balls for you. If a score of 82 is your 44th percentile, you're presumably alienating a lot of users that actually have similar taste to you. In your case (if you really haven't seen many terrible movies), I would pull ...

ah, it's a quote from Aliens

(while i was being facetious, i did go through the inevitable mismatch with people who spread out their rankings differently [if i'm understanding how the site works probably not]

Re: RULES that help you decide how to vote

Or what implications do you see for the spreadsheet relative to this case ? oh, i dunno. maybe if it's something specific, a row could be created for it Also, if you have ideas for additional rows, just let me know. I'd obviously love to see YOUR spreadsheet once it's ready!! 8-) the ones on your e...

Re: RULES that help you decide how to vote

But I think by far the  biggest benefit is that your scores stay consistent throughout time , because they always have the same numerical references (e.g. fixed scores for "boring" or "entertaining"). This safes me from scoring an "entertaining" film 30 on one da...

Re: How do you rate ridiculously bad movies: 0 or >0 ?

Absolutely. Wait ... doesn't this advice come from someone voting in the 69-71 range mostly? ;) yeah! no, changing a single vote doesn't change your percentiles. Why should it? In this case the movie will just be/stay in the lowest percentile. That's all. Sorry! right you are. Nuke the entire site ...

Re: RULES that help you decide how to vote

swiss cheese made me chuckle. these sorts of tables are teeming with erotic energy. i'll try wthe film i wtchd last night 1. 70 https://i.imgur.com/44drScC.png i think you've captured, more or less, the same sort of considerations when rating. for me, the (somewhat) pleased, stimulated, strong word...

Re: Where are the colors & quips ?

@paulofilmo: Thanks, but this is what I referred to as the "customization function" in my comment. It doesn't help with my question. Where can a user with DEFAULT quips see a list of - the quips - the colors - the score ranges ? The customization tool does not tell me the current (default...

Re: RULES that help you decide how to vote

I think for me there is just quite a thin line between something worth watching and something not. And, for me, it seems to work. the psis are right most of the time. they correspond to 71st percentile, 62nd percentile, and 53rd percentile. i won't pretend to understand, but that seems quite spread ...
