Re: Stand out final lines in a film?

"Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight."

Re: The Best Actor

Nice try at changing the subject. You were a dick to Stewie for no reason and with no provocation. Worst of all, your post didn't even contribute anything besides "I LOVE DDL!" ...in a thread asking which actors we liked. Also, he didn't really seem that offended. He took it, like he retu...

Re: The Best Actor

Stewball has a serious case of cinematic infatuation. Comparing anyone to DDL, from any era, is ludicrous. The irony of this post is incredible. You know what's even more ludicrous than comparing anyone to DDL? Blind, exaggerated hero worship. And yeah, Stewie has some cinematic infatuations, but I...

Re: Philip Seymour Hoffman

First actor I made a favorite on this site :(

We'll always have him in Magnolia, Synecdoche, and, a favorite performance of mine, Mission Impossible III.

Re: Her

Very boring as any kind of a romantic/love story, Ted and Samantha were never convincing, just awkward.

On other hand, it was quite interesting whenever the focus was on solely the AI or the effect the OSes (correct plural on that, someone?) had on people.

Disappointing film :(

Re: Books about movies - film criticism, biography, history,

Even if you're not looking to write one yourself, Screenplay by Syd Field is a great read.
