Re: Why Criticker is Superior

Personally, without Criticker I would have no way of keeping track of the films I watch and the scores I choose to assign them. It allows me the chance to go in depth with the score a little more than a standard out of 5 or 10.

Re: What do you consider "old" or "vintage"?

The word classic has lost its way a little bit in films and television I find. Something's are declared instant classics and some "classics" only have a very small cult following. I would say the classics are defined as those films from the 60s 70s and now even the 80s that have universal love from ...

Re: How do we feel about the Amc/Regal vs universal beef

As someone who still goes to the cinema quite frequently I am on the fence. I think the reason behind it is a very extreme circumstance and therefore very much warranted. However, for me knowing I could have seen the same movies on the big screen with my friends instead of a lone in my home it's jus...

Re: Star Wars: Episode 9

The end product ended by being exactly what I imagined it would be. Fan service to try and justify the bad decisions made by Rian Johnson in the Last Jedi. What would have served for a better conclusion was finding ways to make the things that seemed out of place in LJ work better for the universe. ...

Re: How do you use criticker.com?

I mostly use it to keep rank of films from the year that was. To see how series improve or depreciate over time. Basically to simply keep track of each movie I see and the impression it left on me. I generally have an open slate as to what I am willing to watch so I don't need the prediction or the ...

Re: Star Wars: Episode 9

[quote="coffee"/quote] Leia was a fierce fighter woman and she has become practically a female Dumbledore. Luke was a passionate guy. His passion was actually the drive of the first three films. Now he's become a soulless shell. What I wrote was "the more they are around the more they...

Re: your thoughts on Rogue One ?

Rogue One in my opinion is exactly what type of film Star Wars needs to focus on moving forward. New characters with self contained adventures. Dragging out a trilogy seems to result in major plot holes and less focused narratives.

Rogue One was darker in tone, visually stunning and very well acted.

Re: Joker

It most definitely one of the most uncomfortable viewing experiences. It was an extreme look into a fractured mind that didn't get enough help. I can't honestly see anyone aside from Phoenix in this role and I am not sure that's a testament to this performance or the his own signs of diving too deep...

Re: 100 actors you cannot stand

33. Jason Statham- He for me has to be one of the most wooden actors working today. He never does anything except over the top action movies where he can flex his muscles and win fights. Boring actor, one of the worst of all time. 34. Phillip Winchester- Mostly a TV actor he has played the same char...
