Neat tool.
Nothing too surprising here, either. The drop-off after 90 is pretty big, but I don't hand out 95s and 100s easily.

Re: Movies that Have Aged Well, and Those that Haven't
I'm a big Hitchcock fan, but he was pretty old-fashioned when it came to making films. His reliance on things like rear projection and matte paintings as backgrounds were dated even when the films were being released. I mean, look at this shot from Marnie: http://whatthemovie.com/system/images/still...

Re: "Oldboy"
I'm guessing the remake doesn't have the octopus scene. What does he do, go for a McDonald's instead?

Re: Movies that Have Aged Well, and Those that Haven't
I am wondering, if we can find a relatively well known film that has held up well , made prior to our current line in the sand of 1931. I just knocked it back a year with All Quiet on the Western Front . Check out this scene: m Not just the visceral level of violence and death, but also the way the...

Re: Movies that Have Aged Well, and Those that Haven't
Aged well: Sweet Smell of Success (1957) - Maybe it's the music, but I remember seeing this for the first time and being struck by how modern it felt. Add in the dialogue, the acting and the lack of Hollywood moralising and it all looks remarkably fresh. All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) - Theme...

The inclusion of a graph and a pie chart in my post would suggest that yes, yes I did.

Re: My Top 100
Conveniently, my tier 10 currently has exactly 100 entries. I'm not entirely sure how much overlap there'd be if I sat down and compiled a top 100 without referencing Criticker, though. http://i.imgur.com/mNWSSSO.jpg By decade. Not much surprising here. I hardly ever watched films until I hit my mid...
