Sal in Dog Day Afternoon still hits me right in the stomach.

Trying to find Kumpels I can regularly talk to....

Does this happen? I review films, check out what my Kumpels are watching, but find it really hard to make contact with anyone. I know the forums have a purpose, but it would be great to form friendships with those who share similar tastes.....

Typing a film title into entry box not working.

When I first joined, I'm pretty sure I got predictive titles as soon as I started typing. Now I don't even get titles from the exact title. For example, I just typed 'Don't Breath' and the first title I get is 'Breath'. I'm having to click through pages to find a film. Is this a problem my end? Than...

Re: Best dialogue-driven film you've seen?

I enjoyed "The Man from Earth" (2007) which is entirely dialogue driven of a man recounting his interesting (that is as far as I can say without spoiling the premise) life to friends. Apparently there was a sequel made this past year which I'll have to find and watch. Another good one but...

Re: Best dialogue-driven film you've seen?

All Whit Stillman, all Eric Rohmer, all Noah Baumbach, all Hal Hartley (a lot going on with him aside from just dialogue, but it's the best dialogue). I found Winter Sleep a bit ponderous, belabored, and humorless myself, but that's just me. I have the same problem with Bergman, so make of that wha...

Best dialogue-driven film you've seen?

Have just watched the epic 'winter sleep'. Transfixed in the dialogue, possibly the shortest long (3hrs18mins) film I've ever seen.

So I was curious, are there any films you would recommend that are almost entirely dialogue based.?

Re: Introduce Yourself

HI. I'm John from the 'united' Kingdoms..
My favourite film is Open Your Eyes.
This site is sublime and for someone who loves cinema and ranking films out of 100 instead of 5, just what I needed.
