Re: Games from Newgrounds(and other flash games)

That's irrelevant when you can just google "Pico's School" and you'll instantly get Pico's School. This applies to every other flash game. So what? Obviously there must be some filtering beyond "this game exist", and how many results you get when Googling for any given flash gam...

'New' platforms

How about adding MSX and Apple II to the list?
I don't consider most retro games to be worth adding (Apple II games in particular have aged badly), but there's already several in the database that were released on those platforms. So might as well add them, no?

Re: Games from Newgrounds(and other flash games)

Nah, that'd be like having no filter at all.
Most flash game sites are clones of each other. Any new flash game gets instantly mirrored to hundred other sites, regardless of how popular the game is.

Re: Games from Newgrounds(and other flash games)

That's a poor standard for freeware-focused genres such as Interactive Fiction and roguelikes. Most of those are not allowed on GameFAQs, not even the competition/indie award winners, because GameFAQs focuses on commercial games. For example, most of the XYZZY Award winners are not on GameFAQs. Many...

Re: Different Versions of the Same Game

Splitting the entries would make sense for some of the older games. Because of the system limitations, some ports were... completely different. One example that springs to mind is Dragonflight: MS-DOS version is a 3D flight sim, the SNES version is a overhead shoot-em-up. Console ports of games such...

Re: New Gaming Genres

Roguelike is needed. Role-Playing doesn't sufficiently cover the genre. Interactive Fiction is also missing. ...or alternately, maybe a broader Text-based genre? Steam uses both tags, but that's probably an overkill. The current Adventure listing is quite a mess. Splitting it off into the classic A...

Re: TV series

This is still my top request.
Criticker gives the most accurate predictions, out of everything that I've tried. But lately, I've been using other rating sites more...simply because those list both movies and TV series.

Re: Overlapping names in FF when the movie name is too long.

I think that's just because you haven't encountered a movie whose name is long enough to wrap. Even this doesn't wrap for you when viewed as part of a list? Can you post a screenshot? Hmm. That's the only instance that I can find, but it does indeed overlap. EDIT: Not related to this problem, but I...

Re: Overlapping names in FF when the movie name is too long.

Firefox 3.0.3, no problems as far as I can see.
I... think... that I encountered that problem back when I first started using Criticker. I guess it disappeared once I upgraded my browser.
