Re: "This Changes Everthing"

Just thought I'd re-post these because they're on the emotional crisis-exploitation-as-religion level, which no amount of reasoning will ever reach. It's the exact same thing as talking to a "but the Bible says" brick wall. Exact same. Now why don't we all just re-imagine life with socialism--which is of course, without big government in bed with their corporate welfare whores, socialism--aka Fascism. And the first step is to make that establishment Republican, Jeb Bush, irrelevant. Op, too late. And the Democrats are too busy managing their own growing irrelevancy crisis to do any thing but let that walking crisis of a loose canon President continue to make the case for populism (mixed bag there) and libertarians.

Oh boy, what a dangerous way to think. I'm not a scientist or an expert either but blind trust is something that I would never give anyone

Who said anything about blind trust?

You did. When you say you will trust a collective of people because you don't understand them you are willingly subjugating them to shape your opinions for you. "when it comes to science, trust is crucial." Why? Is science impervious to corruption? Do you think when Al Gore got involved with climate change it was because he was a noble human being who only wanted to better the world? No, he did it for money. http://www.forbes.com/sites/larrybell/2 ... ment-hype/

More name calling via the Simpsons. And even if glacial retreat was accelerating (which is just the opposite in Antarctica as was embarrassingly demonstrated to the global warming "scientists" whose ship had to be rescued from the fast growing ice) this is still just a few years in 20,000 and 2.5 million.

But the real point that I was bringing up in the OP is to ask why, if this is all settled science, that they needed to "re-imagine" their argument. Looks like they're just trying again after they realized that re-imagining "global warming" into "climate change" was such obvious ploy. Despite liberal propaganda from the President on down, this remains at the bottom of the list of things we worry about. Just the opposite, and they're just not able to exploit the manufactured crisis like they'd planned, mostly because it just isn't happening.

That long list of bought and paid for scientific "studies" means nothing when faced with the fact that that there's been no global warming for the last 15 years, and if we remove all the data from sensors that are placed in parking lots and in the exhaust of A/C units, it may even be going down. But what happens in such a sort time span (15 years 100) doesn't matter anyway.

They haven't set a release date for the movie yet, but Christmas services at the mega-plex would be killer--two birds with one weather stone. Or better yet Easter, or best of all Earth Day!Image

And now for a few actually relevant cartoons on having faith in the Gospel of Global Warming:
