I don't mind sequels if they're as good as the original, and this one is better. It hits all the buttons including humor, and it's use of music is excellent making this about as good as they can make a superhero movie. Yeah, the script is uneven, but it keeps you off balance, which is a good thing. I know the story centers on Peter Quill, and I'm a Pratt fan, but the scene stealer is the damn racoon; and even when I concentrate on it, it doesn't sound like Bradley Cooper. And speaking of voice talent, that's gotta be the best gig in Hollywood for minimal effort vs. dough for Vin Diesel. 8/10

The worst part was the crap summer blockbuster superhero previews, like Wonder Woman (yawn), the Mummy (oh please), Transformers (which couldn't be worse if they changed it to The Trannies), Aliens (monsters have become such a ubiquitous cliche they aren't even stupid/funny anymore), and Spiderman (which looks like it's gonna suck...again.) GAG!
