Best explanation for a cameo ever: Bruce Campbell in Darkman.

Larry Bishop in the first Kill Bill was the most entertaining thing in either of those movies IMO.

Jeremy Piven in Singles is also one of my favorites, with his manic re-enactment of mashing up Elvis Costello and Public Enemy. It made me ROFL for some reason.

John Hurt in Spaceballs: awesome.

The only times I actively dislike cameos, really, is if it's somebody I don't give a crap about to begin with, like Kid Rock, or if they do it too many times. I liked the Hitchcock thing when I was a kid but not so much nowadays. I'm tired of seeing Stan Lee in every superhero movie now too.
