This review is for the R rated version of the film. Once again like with Man of Steel I seem to be one of the few that really liked and enjoyed this movie flaws and all. Ben Affleck did a great job as I knew he would, Henry Cavill continues to be a solid Superman. There were some strange casting choices some work some don't with the biggest disappointment being Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. I liked the tone of the film, in fact, I appreciated it much more since being bombarded by the consequence-free Marvel films. I even enjoyed the paranoid dream sequences and thought that the action for the most part was well done and had a level of believability missing from most other Superhero shows and films. I was not happy with the "Doomsday" character and I hope they bring the real Doomsday in a later film. So far the DC Universe is 2 for 3 in my opinion with only the Suicide Squad being a miss. I'm honestly and sincerely looking forward to the next DC film.
