10. Kevin Spacey 76.67, (12 films) -0.16 / -1 rank

So, my top ten actors (minus John Ratzenberger because of his close association with Pixar) are all pretty tightly clumped. Jeff Bridges, despite having a lower total score since the last time he appeared on my list, managed to work his way back onto the list, knocking off Michael Caine. Caine fell because I ranked Now You See Me (low) and I lowered my score for Get Carter by A LOT.

There are five actors sitting on 9 films waiting to jump on the list. Two, for sure, will make it, and one of those two will be embarrassing when he does, but I will wait to see how it all develops.

I ranked Ender's Game lower than Harrison Ford's average, so I'm not sure how he went up in points, but I must have made adjustments to something.

Another slew of changes.

2. Brad Pitt 78.81, (21 films) -0.46 score / -1 rank / -1 film (?)

10. Kevin Spacey 76.83, (12 films) NEW!

Looks like I somehow misplaced a Brad Pitt movie, and Michael Caine got his two films back. Brian Cox fell from 4th overall to 15th thanks to the movie Red Eye, which is officially his worst film I've seen. Kevin Spacey has always been waiting in the wings to move in, so that's no surprise.

I don't know what happened. I lost a few films from Michael Caine, and I must have downgraded a lot of films. Jeff Bridges and Maggie Smith are gone (ranked overall 13 and 14 behind Kevin Spacey and Chris Cooper). I know I ranked the Lord of the Ring films high, but am not sure where Elijah Wood came from. It must have happened when I ranked the Hobbit. It's also sorta amusing that I have so many ties.

As I mentioned a month ago, I tweaked a few films here and there. Most of the time when I make adjustments, it's only a point or two, so most things don't move at all.

Re: Top 10 highest-scoring actors (10 film minimum)

I've made an attempt to post my list twice, but twice now have accidentally closed the window before posting. Let's give it another go.

Natalie Portman 80.64, (11 films)
Brad Pitt 79.55, (22 films)
Ralph Fiennes 78.70, (10 films)
Harrison Ford 78.31, (16 films)
Guy Pearce 78.00, (10 films)
Bill Murray 77.57, (14 films)
Michael Caine 77.46, (13 films)
Alan Rickman 77.27, (15 films)
Brian Cox 77.23, (13 films)
Jeff Bridges 77.00, (11 films)
Maggie Smith 77.00, (10 films)

I wish my list did include some older actors active during the 50's and 60's, but truth be told, I haven't watched enough films from before the early 90's. I guess it's my age or something. I make an effort to watch older movies, but it's not as if they're readily available, and my wife is bored to tears if we watch something that was released before she was born.

I admit, I ranked the Star Wars prequels too high. I tried to rank them without comparing them to the original trilogy, and I'm a huge Star Wars fan, so it was hard to be too tough on them. And I've also got a soft spot for the Harry Potter films. I mean, none of them are absolutely stellar, but I'm a fantasy geek, and that stuff gets to me.

In fact, Viggo Mortensen would have made the list if it wasn't for the stuff he did pre-Lord of the Rings.

I'm sad because Joseph Gordon-Levitt will never make this list as he was in both Beethoven and Angels in the Outfield.

Frank Welker has an unhappy distinction. I've seen more of his films than anyone else at 26, but he's in my bottom four. Half of his films I've scored a 50 or less. And I don't even know what this guy really looks like. Apparently he's a voice actor.

Rob Schneider is my lowest ranked actor, having the only average film ranking below 50. My highest ranked Rob Schneider film is Grandma's Boy, sitting at 68.
