Darren Aronofsky - Haven't disliked a film yet, definitely has a healthy career.
Gaspar Noe - Only seen 2 but they've been boundary pushers so he is definitely capable.
Ji-woon Kim - Probably won't see too much mainstream success but has showed a lot of talent. I should get around to adding rankings to his films that I've seen.
Edgar Wright - Shaun of the Dead/Hot Fuzz are two of the funniest films I've seen and Scott Pilgrim had signs of brilliance too. Legendary status may seem a bit much but as long as he can keep pumping out good films, I wouldn't be surprised.
Christopher Nolan - Maybe needs some work adding layers to his secondary characters but so far has been granting us (well I've at least been enjoying them) with great cinema experiences.
Lot of those dudes would make my list.
Another I'm digging is Ki-Duk
Kim.
Also gotta throw Wes Anderson in there, as he's written and directed two of my favorite movies of this century.
