Re: What Music are you listening to right now?
Well I don't really enjoy listening to music whilst on the laptop: headphones are a hassle, and I like to concentrate.
I mostly listen to (vintage) jazz on DAB radio, but also enjoy folk, classical, reggae, oldies, soul, world folk music, as well as Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash for emotional presence in lyrics. If I want to dance, it's motown or vintage funk.
I used to be all about the classic rock and songbirds as you will be able to see in my old last.fm account. So Zeppelin/Floyd/Hendrix etc. fans; I know how you feel, and I'm very envious, because that was undoubtedly the best stage of my life and music meant everything. I also recommend you try getting into Fairport Convention (the early records with Sandy Denny) - Liege and Lief, Unhalfbricking etc. ...You can thank me when you're there. And if you get the wailing of Robert Plant, you may be able to get into the crescendo filled, Etta James et al.
Anyhow, here's my vastly out of date Last.fm account.
