I'll try to watch both in theaters. As for Nebraska, why are you discounting it?

It's one of the extremely few films that The Filthy Critic has given a rating of 5 fingers to, and I generally like Alexander Payne's work, so I'm in.

It's OK but it's just sort of there. June Squibb was the brightest star in that sky. And what does TFC know, he gave The Counselor a fucking two, with his main critique focusing on its inspired dialogue--totally clueless. Obviously few people get it, or they do and don't like their source being exposed and jeopardized. It's the best movie since Inception. The local moron reviewer from the AZ Republic was covering the best and worst movies of the year at a movie screening I was at this week, and I axed him what the plot holes (which he'd credited it with in his review) were. He was totally taken aback, I'm not even sure he saw it. He said he couldn't remember. He can't remember because there weren't any--just jumping on the bashwagon.

Sorry, I've tried to get down off my soapbox, but I just keep finding myself back up on it. It's becoming for me the greatest critical travesty of the 21st Century. I even recommended it to my straight-laced fundamentalist family last week. I'm sure they'll consider the source and not go, or if they do my ears will burn to the ground.
