i dont know exactly why it cant be released, but have heard hear say, one of the rumors is that it features so many people in the back ground that hadn't signed release forms that it would be impossible to release legally, the other rumor is that kip pardue wasnt actually acting during the footage so he really does seduce women on the street and does a large amount of illegal drugs during it. but i have seen interviews from both the director and bret easton ellis stating that it would be impossible to release without serious legal problems.
the idea is that the movie was supposed to be something of a half breed between the rules of attraction and glamorama (which roger avery has lifetime film making rights to, and will someday be making) needless to say i love bret easton ellis' books and roger avery did a tremendous job with the rules of attraction so i have no doubt that this movie would be amazing.
