with a minimum 10 films (128 actors), and excluding animation, silent era & Turkish actors, most of whom are not known outside the country and would cover all the lists.

10) Nicolas Cage (14) 37.50
9) Arnold Schwarzenegger (10) 37.50 --
8) Woody Harrelson (10) 37.10 --
7) Tom Cruise (14) 36.79 --
6) Matt Damon (12) 36.58 --
5) Scarlett Johansson (11) 36.18 --
4) Sandra Bullock (10) 36.10 --
3) Jim Carey (12) 34.08 --
2) Michael Caine (12) 32.25 -- nothing to do with him; but because of his participation in every damn Nolan film
1) Sylvester Stallone (13): 21.54 -- for obvious reasons. his part in Woody Allen's Bananas raises his average!

with this threshold, A-list actors pop on the list and doesn't tell much. If I lower the minimum to 4:

10) Moe Howard (4) 18.75 -- 3 stooges
9) Laurie Holden (4) 18.75
8) Elizabeth Banks (8) 16.13 -- but she is hot
7) Michael Winslow (6) 14.33 -- Police Academy
6) Oliver Platt (4) 13.25
2) Bubba Smith, David Graf, Leslie Easterbrook, Steve Guttenberg (4-5) 11.25-9.60 -- Police Academy
1) Kim Coates (4) 7.50

And with the lowest minimum 3, it is Jennifer Lopez (3) 7.33

A romantic comedy with the leads of Stallone and Lopez will be the cinematic nightmare for me

Re: The ten lowest-scoring actors

It's almost been a year since I updated my list.

10. Danny Trejo, 55.45, 11 films
His BEST movie was the spoof film, Machete. Everything else has been low budget action films, shit tier action films, and shit comedy films.

9. John Travolta, 54.95, 21 films
Other than Pulp Fiction, he's been in a handful of mediocre films and a whole lot of shit.

8. Jon Lovitz, 54.58, 12 films
He was in Big, and then a bunch of crap comedies and animated shit fest.

7. Gerard Butler, 54.3, 10 films
How to Train Your Dragon and RocknRolla were both pretty good. The shitty action movies and his occasional foray into romantic comedy was not.

6. Janeane Garofalo, 54, 11 films
Shit tier comedian stars in shit tier comedies.

5. Sylvester Stallone, 53, 13 films
Stallone is synonymous with shitty action films.

4. Frank Welker, 51.92, 26 films
Now that I'm familiar with his work, I don't blame him for being a very prolific voice actor. But what movies need voice sound effects? Shitty movies.

3. Adam Sandler, 51.73, 15 films
He made one or two great comedies, and then started churning out shittier and shittier comedies until the funniest thing about him is his career.

2. Oliver Platt, 51.6, 10 films
That guy that's always in a support role in a bunch of shitty movies. Easily recognizable, never good enough to star.

1. Rob Schneider, 46.21, 14 films
The only actor who scores below a 50. In my ranking system, anything above a 50 was enjoyable enough to not stand up and leave the room in the middle of the movie. It kept my attention. Scoring below a 50 means that if Rob Schneider came up to me on the street and started a conversation, I would ignore him and walk away.

Re: The ten lowest-scoring actors

I can't believe Bill Murray is ranked at the bottom of anyone's list. He's my #2 actor in that other thread.

Going off a 10 film minimum this time, since I do agree with nauru on that, and probably only that.

10. Gerard Butler 55, (10 films)
Butler is divided into pre and post 300. Anything he made prior to 300 was awful, and he's made some bombs since.

9. Sylvester Stallone 54.85, (13 films)
I actually really like the Expendables films, and I've never seen any of the Rocky movies, so this is largely due to his string of really, really shitty action films from the 90's.

8. John Travolta 54.81, (21 films)
Pulp Fiction is a lone standout. As with my 4 film minimum directors, Look Who's Talking can ruin rankings, and it doesn't help that Travolta has been in a bunch of shit films.

7. Eddie Murphy 54.69, (13 films)
Even his decent films are mediocre. And his shit comedies are shit.

6. Danny Trejo 54.64, (11 films)
His best film was Machete. He ends up playing the bad guy in shit tier films.

5. Frank Welker 53.78, (27 films)
He's a voice actor. I don't know him.

4. Oliver Platt 52.4, (10 films)
That guy that's always plays the unsuspecting co-worker who is unessential to the plot in a bunch of bad films.

3. Janeane Garofalo 52.36, (11 films)
Shit tier comedy actress.

2. Adam Sandler 50.66, (13 films)
He made two or three decent comedies, and then started churning out a bunch of shit films. Even his serious attempts at movies, like his pseudo-dramas, are shit. Adam Sandler attempted, and failed, to do what I call "The Jim Carrey".

1. Rob Schneider 46.15, (13 films)
The only actor with a career that's helped by appearing in an Adam Sandler movie. He cannot carry a film on his own, but he attempts it anyways.
