Seems like that would have surfaced somewhere on the internet.

Odd indeed and skepticism is always expected. I have a friend in the business who edits screenplays. He's mildly known within the industry. Apparently, Edward Norton has been in talks with Tarantino about playing the part of the "man from the city" and Christian Bale is being considered for a part.

The screenplay was found incomplete in Leone's house by his daughter and she offered it to Hollywood who circulated it tell Tarantino approached them with a finished copy. So the story goes, but my friend is pretty reliable and received a copy of it.

Forgotten Sergio Leone script, "In the Dead West" to be next

Tarantino film.

Aw yeah. It's about three men, a strange lawman from the city, a violent, but intelligent drifter and a wise, former outlaw. They are all hunting each other for reasons unknown. Edward Norton and Christian Bale are top considerations and a score by Ennio Morricone.

Edit: Should have mentioned, the script is not complete. It is pretty much done, but will be finished up by NOT only Tarantino, but Paul Schrader. Masterpiece in the making?
