Good call on Ben Affleck. He's a significant part of the reason I don't like Kevin Smith. I see Kevin Costner too... Yup.
There are people who've been in stinkers - Ben Stiller has come up. He can be funny if you manage to sit through one of his godawful movies. I don't know how Paul Thomas Anderson pulled any sort of performance out of Adam Sandler in Punch Drunk Love but he did. Clooney... so easy to hate but then there's O Brother, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Welcome to Collinwood and more - respectable performances. Again, easy to hate but Brad Pitt has turned in some decent performances - Twelve Monkeys springs to mind.
Anyway, on with the hate:
I have no idea why (nor do I care to explore it) but I cannot bear Tim Roth or Nicholas Cage. Frank Sinatra was a terrible actor - there must have been a Godfather style horse's head scene that got him into the pictures. I can't look at
Reese Witherspoon for more than a few minutes. Gabriel Byrne never looks like he belongs in a film - I still laugh at him in The Usual Suspects.
