Re: Jim Jarmusch

For years I really enjoyed Dead Man, but it was mostly due to the soundtrack and mood (though the campfire scene is hilarious - "You know I just, I can't drink whiskey like I usetacould. My old belly just ain't no count. I get the shits every time don't you know").

I like Broken Flowers slightly more, again mostly due to the soundtrack and mood, and the presence of Bill Murray. I think the dialogue is occasionally forced and road pictures in general are getting tiresome, but it has a likable overall vibe.

Ghost Dog is pretty good, though I'm not a big fan of Forest Whittaker. Down By Law gets on my nerves because of Roberto Benigni, and I don't really care that much about the story. Stranger Than Paradise didn't make a big impression, if I recall. Coffee & Cigarettes fluctuates between droll and tedious, favoring tedious.
