Having now seen Only God Forgives, and really enjoying it, I realize how laughable it was that I thought Nicolas Winding Refn would make a martial arts movie. OGF has one fight scene, and Gosling literally doesn't land a single blow.

Kind of amazed you enjoyed Only God Forgives, of all people. I always felt you hated the type of pretentious, navel-gazing bullshit that movie featured.

I just read about this on The Playlist (http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/first-look-at-ryan-gosling-in-only-god-forgives-the-weinsteins-vod-label-radius-pick-up-rights-to-the-film). I think it sounds like it has great promise. Another film I need to add to my list of most anticipated.
