Re: UK TV Film Recommendations

the first four eps of Roads to Freedom is BBC4 on Wednesday. It's a '70s series that has a cool/grimy John le Carré vibe. Apparently it's been unavailable until recently.
The way the camera shifts and the characters narrating their thoughts is very . . cool. deft/adept.
it's sort of videogamey in a way I can't describe.

Re: UK TV Film Recommendations

Kapurush, a remastered version of the 69 minute Satyajit Ray film, was on a few nights ago, but is available on channel 4's catch-up service. 8.something gigs, so should look nice.

ivan's childhood and mirror are on there, too

Re: UK TV Film Recommendations 5/10

The Satyajit Ray film, Devi is on Channel 4 on Thursday night. I think there's a Bergman film on Film4 at the same time, but I highly recommend Ray's film isn't missed.
