Be honest with yourself, friend. Don't blindly love a candidate. Just because the media has proclaimed Obama the greatest thing since sliced bread and continually vilifies Bush doesn't mean Obama is better than Bush.

Here, I'll re-quote the post you so conveniently ignored;

stuie299 wrote:I'm not saying Obama hasn't made mistakes but have you even considered what a Republican would do if elected president?

Yeah, I have; we saw it with Bush, who, among Republican presidents, was one of the worst. Overall, he was terrible, but looks positively great compared to the miserable job Obama has done. However, thanks to the liberal-dominated media, all you've read are fluff pieces about the great Messiah Obama and how beautiful his wife and daughters are.

Here's a question for you; name one area, just ONE, where Obama has been better than a terrible president like Bush?

stuie299 wrote:I think it is irrational to think that just because the Republicans would be offering up a different solution that it would automatically be better.

It's plenty rational; I do economics research for a living, and my background was more than enough to know that Obama's policies were retarded and wouldn't possibly work.

Here's a simple example; unemployment benefits typically last for about 28 weeks. In the past, during times of depression, that number has been raised to 35, and occasionally, even 45 weeks. However, Obama has raised that number to the never before seen in US history; 102 weeks. Pretty much 2 full years.

In general, this policy straddles a line between compassion and cold, economic reality; if people get unemployment benefits for a really long time, then their motivation to work again goes down, and the (real) unemployment rate goes back up.

It's something every economist, liberal and conservative alike, criticized as a fucking stupid, horrible idea.

Considering no previous president, either Democrat or Republican, has done anything so stupid, I feel confident in saying a Republican would do a better job, especially since some of them come from successful business backgrounds.

Except among the African American community, I don't see his Skin color being a factor.

You must be really out of touch with reality, dude. I can name at least half a dozen white people I know that openly admitted they voted for Obama because he was half black.

Beyond that, how else would a junior senator serving his first term who had done absolutely nothing in either Illinois or the Senate win the presidency?!

As for the black community, leave them out of it; 89% of blacks are registered Democrats, so it really doesn't make a difference to them what color Obama is. Rather, it's that little "D" by his name.

I really disagree with the first one, as its not the media its Obama making himself look better than he actually is.

Really? How has he accomplished that? By writing flattering fluff pieces about himself? By proclaiming himself a great leader and Messiah?

Sorry, that's not on Obama; that's on the liberal news media, especially people like Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow over at MSNBC, and the talking heads on CNN.

I personally like Obama because he tries to be bipartisan even if the Republicans have taken advantage of his bipartisanship on numerous occasions.

I laugh whenever I hear anyone claim Obama is "bipartisan". He has tried to smear and cut the heads off the Republicans every single opportunity he gets.

Here's some wonderful examples of his bipartisanship;

I'm curious; what examples were you thinking when it comes to him being "bipartisan"? Unless of course you think that word means "try to do everything in your power to destroy the other side".

And on another note,

hellboy76 wrote:For one, whoever keeps saying the main reason people voted for Obama because of the color of his skin is an asshole.

Yeah, tell that to my 6 white friends who openly admitted they voted for Obama because of his race.

I think you're positively delusional if you don't think his skin color was a major factor in him being elected.

stuie wrote:Also he's been very cool, and calm considering all of the disasters hes had to face (oil spill, hurricane, and attacks from both the left and right).

How has this "cool and calmness" manifested itself? Can you give any concrete examples, or is it more rubbish from columnists desperate to praise him?

Try not to drink the media Kool-Aid so much next time!

stuie wrote:They have done nothing but polarize American where Obama has tried on many occasions to be bipartisan.

This same nonsense, repeated over and over, glossing over the actual evidence.
