5. Harrison Ford 77.61 (18 films) -0.68 score / +1 film / -1 rank

9. Tilda Swinton 76.9 (10 films) NEW!
10. Elijah Wood 76.87 (15 films) NEW!
8 years of watching and ranking films. Let's see what has changed.

1. John Ratzenberger 84.5 (16 films) +2.5 score / +5 films / +1 rank
2. Orlando Bloom 82.18 (11 films) -1.27 score / -1 rank
3. Andy Serkis 81.64 (11 films) NEW!
4. Chris Pratt 81 (10 films) NEW!
5. Benedict Cumberbatch 80.3 (11 films) NEW!
6. Frank Oz 80.3 (10 films) NEW!
7. Kevin Spacey 79.07 (14 films) +1.99 scores / +2 films / + 1 rank
8. Tom Hardy 78.75 (12 films) NEW!
9. Michael Caine 78.44 (18 films) NEW!
10. Simon Pegg 78.33 (12 films) NEW!

Apparently a lot changed, as almost entirely new list of actors now.
  • Chris Cooper and Tilda Swinton are now tied, ranking in at #13 (13 films, 77.8 each)

Harrison Ford would be #15 (21 films, 77.7) while Elijah Wood would be #16 (only 15 films, 77.7)

Brad Pitt falls to #18 (27 films, 77)

Ralph Fiennes falls to #19 (14 films, 76.9)

Natalie Portman plummets to somewhere outside the top 30 (16 films, 74.8)
I am going to assume that 8 long years of super hero bloat has absolutely decimated my rankings. Over time I'm noticing that I am started to rank these films lower and lower, so I imagine that this list will change dramatically the next time I update it.

Cate Blanchett (77.85 - 13 films)
Kirsten Dunst (77.50 - 10 films)

The only actor I'm surprised to see on there is Bill Murray, since I've never considered myself the biggest fan of his work, but hey! I guess my love of Wes Anderson is enough to put him up there

So, the secret is out. Orlando Bloom is an embarrassing #1. However, my love for Tolkien should not be held against me. His appearance in the Hobbit films, which are a guilty pleasure of mine, bumped him to 10 films. And I really enjoy the Pirates franchise, as well. It's all very embarrassing on this site to admit these things, but what can you do?

I'm not sure how Ratzenberger dropped an entire film. Mind-boggling. I don't even know which one it was.

It's been a full year since I last updated this list, which seems crazy. I should do it more often. Lots of movement. My love for Marvel bumped up Portman. Elijah Wood comes out of nowhere, and I don't think the Hobbit has anything to do with it. I gave Eternal Sunshine a big bump in my ratings, so I imagine that's where he came from.

Tilda Swinton takes me by surprise. I didn't realize that she was in that much that I've seen. She's an actress I really recognize by name only. Wes Anderson has helped to propel her higher.

Bill Murray completely dropping off the list after being #2 on it last year is very surprising. Of course, I did start tanking the scores of Space Jam, Scrooged, and The Man Who Knew too Little.

Lockout probably dropped Guy Pierce off the list.

Expect Star Wars to help out Harrison Ford when it comes out. Michael Caine is still waiting in the wings, as well, only 0.11 points below Elijah Wood, who will tank if I ever see and rank Witchhunter, I'm sure.
