It's a pretty well-known term, although I do agree, a vague one. I'd say either some early Woody Allen rates at the top, Manhattan is particular rommy (with a side of com), or All The Real Girls if I'm in the mood for some angsty, new age romance.
Yes, that's my point; it's a completely vague, non-descriptive term. For instance most people would NOT consider Woody Allen romcoms either "girly" or "chick flicks". "Romantic comedy" is a fairly well defined subgenre; meanwhile, "chick flicks" is highly subjective, and thus, unclear.
Honestly though, I doubt the topic starter herself knew what she meant.

Please reread what you wrote. It was very stupid and irrelevant, but that's okay.

Ah, so "500 Days of Summer" was NOT a girly movie, but "Terminator" was. Got you!
Anymore questions I can help you with?
Sure; are you mentally challenged? Because if so, I will feel bad for making fun of you.

Let's try to save this poor topic; name your favorite romantic comedies.
While I have (shamefully) not seen the majority of Woody Allen romcoms, "Love Exposure" was an absolute masterpiece; a wonderfully insane, violent, fucked up, hilarious love story. I also love Bunuel's "That Obscure Object of Desire". Amazing and thoughtful examination of relationships.
