Any year that only shows a single candidate is something I expect to change in the future. In fact, in the coming months my opinion will probably go back-and-forth multiple times so it's best I just leave this and never think of it again. The 'movie of the year' collection I maintain is bad enough.

I've seen basically nothing of this year, but with Woody Allen, Terrence Malick, Werner Herzog, Lars von Trier, Abbas Kiarostami, Yimou Zhang & the Dardenne brothers all with work out that I probably won't see till much later, my last pick can only change. Either that or a more likely scenario like the world exploding into a skittle rainbow.
