Re: Personal rating system revolution
No difference, I do it partly out of habit (because I used to use all numbers from 0 through 100) and partly because I feel the numbers make more immediate sense to other users, without them having to look at what tier it is. If I see a green number 4 I don't know if that's 4/4 (I've seen users use ...

Re: Movies with the most (contentious) reviews
I had a hard time deciding what to do with bad movies that I really enjoyed because of how absolutely terrible they were. I decided to give a score based on the actual legitimate merits of the film and express the entertainment value in the mini-review. I also do this. However, I think Vampire's Ki...

Re: Personal rating system revolution
I've not had this problem because I don't consider my ranking to be a permanent opinion. I usually give more of a gut reaction score but then if I think about the film more and things start to bug me or I feel like I unappreciated an aspect of them film I can give or take away points. And every onc...

Re: Watching a movie with a ranking desision in mind
I used to do this, but after I simplified my rating system there's no real need to think about what rating I'll give the film any more. Now I find myself formulating a mini-review in my head while watching the film. Which is less bothersome, because it is at least somewhat stimulating.

I thought this movie sucked. I can't stand Gemma Arterton.

Re: Personal rating system revolution
I disagree that it's important to have ratings in all 10 tiers. TCIs and PSIs are still accurate for me, even though I only have films ranked in tier 1, 3, 5, 7 and 10. In Criticker's mind, tiers 2, 4, 6, 8 and 9 still exist for me as a user. I just haven't ranked any films in those tiers. Consideri...

Re: Recommendation engine needs ALOT of work
I mean amazon does a decent job at it when I search for a movie, it list movies that are of the same era and genre as the one I searched for, so why can't sites like this do the same when the whole idea of the site is to make it easy to find films that I would love based on the films that I already...

Re: Supporting member (PayPal)
I requested this a while ago. http://www.criticker.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3112 Had another option been available, I probably would have been a supporting member for the past year+ since I made this request, which alone would have made Criticker $60+ richer. I really hope it'll be added so...

Re: excluding certain genres/countries
That's a different problem. Why would USA be listed only on the basis of there existing an English dub?

Code leaking into the profiles
Checked several profiles and a similar thing appears on all. I'm using Chrome.
