Re: How Criticker fits into my personal movie recommendations...

Your PSI correlations jumped from 0.41 to 0.43, have you been adjusting some ratings or is this just a coincidence that your PSI is now performing ever so slightly better? Not really, but I rated some new movies in the 70-75 range. I noticed before there's some delicate balance which tips my Tiers ...

Re: ignoring films

I use it a lot. There are some movies which for sure I'll never watch, so I don't want them showing up in recommendations etc..

Re: Critical Viewing

I've exactly the same problem. As soon as I'm getting bored watching a movie, I start paying attention to 'technical' aspects, like costumes, settings, directing, etc... Also, I noticed it's not a good sign when I start looking at my player for the time elapsed (usually 30 minutes) and guessing when...

Log-in (hack?)

Hi Criticker,

Can you contact me privately. I noticed something strange with the log-in which makes it (maybe?) available to hack an account... I don't want to tell the details here...

Re: How Criticker fits into my personal movie recommendations...

Hi Quicky, Thanks for your effort, this is fantastic! A lot of your info is spot-on (I like gritty long movies/documetaries about history/war. Generally I don't like comedies). Also the keywords are funny, I do own a large movie-collection about serial-killers and WW2, and all the Tarantino movies.....

Hi Quicky,

I'm sure interested, but this week I'm out-of-touch with the i'net (travelling). I'll contact you next week to give this a try.

Re: Hey, Why Is My Suggestion Taking So Long?

Hi Quicky, Thanks for your input. That was exactly the info I was looking for. Regarding the bottle-neck, in my line of work I (also) do a lot of database and query optimization. Selects or updates of millions of records doesn't have to be a big (performance) problem. But I'm not complaining about C...

Re: Hey, Why Is My Suggestion Taking So Long?

Hi, maybe you can post some tech-specs and other info? I'm really curious about the number of users now, how many movies are rated, etc... Just some statistical stuff... Also, what kind of infrastructure do you have? E.g. where you store your information (sql-server, informix or oracle db?) Sometime...
