Re: TCIs regenerated

(At this point, I'm just assuming it's affecting everyone on the site.) mine are ok sorry to hear you guys' shit's borked You should double-check, they might look okay at first on the top but if you click the generate new TCI's button, you might notice an abnormally high number within a small range...

Re: Wishlist Download

They actually copy/paste fairly well into a spreadsheet, I just checked but the PSI beside the movie will be in the same cell as the title of the film rather than a separate cell. Bit of manual work especially if you have a big wishlist but easy solution for now.

Re: Name that country

This problem has been discussed before https://www.criticker.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4766&p One of the solutions offered was introducing a new tag 'language' Not really a solution, just a different category. That solution works for me. I was interested in looking up Italian films made...

Re: Movie Podcasts

There's quite a few Criterion ones and one called The Criterion Quest hosted by a couple Aussie guys is good, it's straightforward and simple. No gimmicks or long ad breaks or random tangents or whatever, they just pick one movie and watch it and then talk about it while making good points. I only l...

Re: What does everyone think of accounts show ratings from other sites?

Of these, by far the lowest TCI (i.e., closest taste to me) is mubivotes, who is my 37th closest user (TCI: 1.8288, with 2564 films in common). I don't know anything about what mubi is, though. It's a Film streaming website, they have an $8 subscription I think and one new movie added each day whic...

Re: Trial & Error Sitcom

I saw a couple episodes, not bad but I don't think it'll ever get to the Parks&Rec or Office level of mockumentary...the cast is much weaker imo but the jokes are decent.

Re: On what basis do you rate films ?

I agree with not rating a film if you didn't finish it or have too vague a recollection of it. Also I think it's a really bad idea to rate a movie based on how well made of a movie it was instead of rating it based on how much you like it. The whole point of the PSI thing is to get people with a sim...

Re: The Rev. Al Gore at it again

I dunno where he dragged socialism in the socialism vs capitalism etc comment. Pretty sure he's one of those people that thinks socialism = communism. And I'm guessing letting a corporation run rampantly free and avoiding any sort of a carbon tax or environmental regulations is going against freedom...

Re: The Rev. Al Gore at it again

I don't know if cricizing a documentary for its 'truthiness' is the way to go lol. Al Gore can't predict the future and neither can you, a documentary just presents information, you critique how well it was presented, how engaging it was, etc. I'm not someone who's feverishly into making change for ...

Re: Films where it matters which version you see

This list is a good example of why Criticker should be able to add notes to a list or allowing people to comment because the list alone doesn't show which version of the movie is recommended, just the list of films.
