We might be approaching AI-RENDERED TV, film, commercials, etc.
I put RENDERED in the thread title before people say things like "AI movies will never replace the creativity or emotion of a human script" etc. I'm not talking about someone telling ChatGPT to go make a pizza commercial or a movie about X in which case yes the script and stuff would be a problem an...

Re: What is this Criticker Watchlist?
The Watchlists have now been cleared of any rated titles! And any time you rate a title from now, it will be auto-removed from your Watchlist. Thanks again for your patience while we fixed this up! Thanks for fixing this, working great now. Wanted to make the feature request again to hopefully have...

Re: What is this Criticker Watchlist?
Kind of works, thanks. But shouldn't be the list cleared of already seen movies? Yes this isn't working correctly and don't think it was necessary as I don't see any new functionality. I 'merged' my watchlist/wishlist and now on the new watchlist, it shows "You've rated 607 of 3.5k" titles which me...

Re: Wish list deleted?
Oof had a mini panic-attack when I saw mine was almost empty. You have to go into Explore -> Collections -> Private Collections. Why they've done this I'm not sure. It's just semantics, should've left it as is. And they didn't bother to implement the feature of being able to filter out movies alread...

Re: 5000th?
These are all films I've ranked well which we don't have in common so I assume you haven't seen. The Day The Earth Caught Fire (1961 UK) Girl With Hyacinths (1950 Sweden) Wheel of Fortune and Fantasy (2021 Japan) Death of a Cyclist (1955 Spain) Hit The Road (2021, Iran) Hands Over The City (1963 Ita...

Re: Deleting movies on wishlist
Yeah it's a flaw. Imo as soon as you rate a movie, it should be removed from your watchlist automatically. This is still manual but slightly better: On your watchlist, on the filter options on the left, select the bubble with "Your scores" under the "Show" section. This will only show the films you'...

Re: How is it better to watch movies at home?
The contrast at every theatre I go to nowadays is generally bad. It's slightly better in IMAX but still looks like quite a dull image. Knowing that projectors, especially cheap ones have this same issue, it gives me 0 desire to do that. I honestly feel like I get a better clearer and far more vivid ...

Re: Why Top X Lists are Doomed to Failure
They're tools meant to help you find stuff to watch and stuff which is generally accessible/non-obscure. They aren't literal top 10 lists.
My list of top 10 albums from 2021 is MY list of my favourite albums from 2021, not a list of THE best albums of 2021.

Re: Are Hollywood Movies Dead?
What? Just looking since 2019 and there have been some fantastic films that are predominantly Hollywood productions: Knives Out (best murder mystery made on film I've seen and it wasn't even a book adaptation), Marriage Story, Ford v Ferrari, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Palm Springs, Avengers: En...

Re: New and Revamped Sponsor Features & Charts
It costs ~$20 USD/year to become a pro member at Letterboxd and more for a Patreon but Pro gives you most of the important features......it costs $60 USD on Criticker.... I'm not sure of this discrepancy. $60 USD doesn't seem like much until you consider that a lot of Criticker users are based in ot...
